\u2018wooden gun\u2019 before shooting his mum and two siblings dead and setting off to \u2018kill as many as possible\u2019 at an early year\u2019s school assembly.<\/p>\n<p>Juliana Falcon, 48, Giselle Prosper, 13, and Kyle Prosper, 16, were found dead in their Leabank flat in <a data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/luton\/\">Luton<\/a> on September 13 last year.<\/p>\n<p>Their family described them as a \u2018strong, loving mother\u2019, a \u2018beautiful soul and caring young girl\u2019, and \u2018a kind and funny young man\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Nicholas Prosper, now 19, barely reacted as the details of his crimes were revealed in court at his sentencing hearing today.<\/p>\n<p>Prosper had killed each of them with a shotgun wound to the head around 5am that day after an \u2018extended, violent struggle\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>But the injuries inflicted on his brother Kyle were \u2018particularlydistressing\u2019, as he Court at Prosper\u2019s sentencing hearing today.<\/p>\n<p>Giselle was found under the dining table, where she had tried to hide before Prosper shot her in the face. <\/p>\n<p>Juliana was found in the hallway with defensive injuries and gunshot wound to the top of her head. \u2018This was killing for the sake of killing\u2019, Cray said.<\/p>\n<p>Such \u2018brutal\u2019 murders shocked the local community, which was alarmed to discover he intended this as the \u2018first step in an even more shocking mass killing\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Prosper\u2019s internet history revealed an interest in mass shootings \u2013 including at Columbine High school, where <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/09\/05\/im-part-columbine-generation-nothing-changed-25-years-20671058\/\">two boys massacred 13 Video footage from almost exactly a year before appeared to show Prosper practicing shooting at a piece of wood.<\/p>\n<p>He researched mass killers in the US, Norway, Australia and New Zealand. He viewed images of notorious murdered.<\/p>\n<p>He then bought a gun \u2013 paying \u00a3650 for the weapon and cartridges, plus \u00a330 gas money \u2013 to a seller in the carpark of Leabank the day before the murders.<\/p>\n<p>In the hours leading up to the attack on has family, Prosper had spent four hours on his phone searching terms including \u2018shotgun injuries to the neck\u2019, \u2018What will happen on 13th September\u2019, \u2018Do you die if shot in the neck\u2019, \u2018Does sex with a corpse feel good\u2019, \u2018Man shoots woman in the head at close range\u2019, \u2018Woman raped and killed\u2019, \u2018How lethal are neck gunshots\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>A quiet, introverted boy at school, Prosper had developed a \u2018deep alienation from normal life and interest in the darkest sides of humanity\u2019 in the year leading up to the murders, the prosecutor said.<\/p>\n<p>Psychiatrists who assessed him concluded the teenager had undiagnosed autism -but he also showed an \u2018extreme lack of empathy\u2019 that this could not explain.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018While he had read documents or manifestos produced by other mass killers, his plans did not arise from any particular political or ideological cause\u2019, Cray said.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The evidence suggests that what drove him on most was the desire to be famous or infamous as a mass killer. This was killing for the sake of killing.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Prosper pleaded guilty to murder at a hearing last month, along with charges of purchasing a shotgun without a certificate, possession of a shotgun with intent to endanger life and possession of a kitchen knife in a public place.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement released in September, the family of Juliana, Giselle and Kyle said: \u2018Julie was a strong, loving mother to her four beautiful children, who were her absolute world.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018In her spare time, she was a keen athlete and enjoyed raising money for charity \u2013 she was always putting others first.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Kyle was a kind and funny young man who loved football and boxing. He was creative and thriving on TikTok, a big talent with massive potential. Kyle\u2019s friends were his everything.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Giselle was a beautiful soul and caring young girl; she liked to laugh lots and loved her family and big brothers.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018She was so loveable with an infectious smile.
