they need to park up \u2013 including the <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/london\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/london\/\">London<\/a> DLR tracks. <\/p>\n<p>Docklands Light Railway trains came to a halt in Poplar, east London, after a driver abandoned their \u00a382,000 luxury car on the tracks. <\/p>\n<p>It led to a bizarre face-off between a DLR train and the car that looked like something out of Fast & Furious. <\/p>\n<p>The rogue vehicle blocked the line near Canary Wharf on Saturday, NeedToKnow first reported. <\/p>\n<p>Trains managed \u2013 although the nearest roads such as the A1261 Aspen Way are walled off.<\/p>\n<p>A man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and blocking the railway. <\/p>\n<p>When the video of the car emerged, people said it looked like a clip from the Grand Theft Auto games. <\/p>\n<p>\u2018Will the traffic warden give a ticket,\u2019 one person quipped on social media, while another asked the car got there as \u2018most of the DLR is high rise.\u2019 <\/p>\n<p>The discovery was made near the DLR Poplar depot, which suggests the driver might have snuck in through the area. <\/p>\n<p>Along with causing travel chaos, the driver risked being electrocuted or severely burned as the DRL tracks carry a high-voltage current, making trespassing \u2018extremely dangerous,\u2019 DLR station at around 6am on Saturday (15 March) following reports of a car stuck on the railway lines. <\/p>\n<p>\u2018Officers attended and a man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in charge of a motor vehicle and for obstruction of the railway.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Ben Grellier, TfL\u2019s head of operations for the DLR, told <strong>Metro<\/strong>: \u2018A car drove onto some train sidings at the DLR\u2019s Poplar Depot early\u00a0on Saturday morning.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Thankfully, there were no injuries\u00a0but,\u00a0for safety reasons, we had to\u00a0temporarily\u00a0isolate the power at the depot.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2018This\u00a0impacted our ability to bring a small number of trains into service,\u00a0 but\u00a0disruption was\u00a0minimal as we were able to introduce additional trains from our second depot at Beckton.
