href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/vladimir-putin\/\">Vladimir Putin<\/a> \u2018will die soon\u2019 as the Russian leader faces renewed speculation about his <a data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/health-news\/\">health<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Ukraine\u2019s President begged for the US to \u2018stay strong\u2019 as a tentative ceasefire on energy infrastructure attacks appears on the brink of collapse.<\/p>\n<p>Zelensky made the claim during a sit-down interview with journalists in <a data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/paris\/\">Paris<\/a> after he met French leader Emmanuel Macron in Paris yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking in Ukrainian, he fuel to rumours the 72-year-old Russian leader is battling ill-health.<\/p>\n<p>Putin <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/05\/25\/paranoid-putin-has-four-doctors-24-hour-duty-main-residence-20910132\/\">allegedly has four doctors permanently on duty at his man official <\/a>residence, according leaked documents.<\/p>\n<p>Last October, the Kremlin had to deny he had serious health issues after he was admitted to a Moscow hospital undergoing regular examinations.<\/p>\n<p>A famous incident in June 2022 saw the Russian president<a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2022\/06\/16\/vladimir-putin-seen-gripping-table-so-hard-his-veins-start-to-bulge-16837200\/\"> grip a table so hard his veins started to bulge<\/a> during a meeting with then-Defence Minister\u00a0Sergei Shoigu.<\/p>\n<p>He also appeared slouched and was slurring his words.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"img-container off-colour while meeting with his <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/05\/25\/putin-seen-looking-weak-frail-amid-ongoing-rumours-bad-health-20911176\/\">Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko<\/a> last May to discuss the ongoing war in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/ukraine\/?ico=auto_link_news_P2_LNK2\">Ukraine<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>During the wide-ranging interview, Zelenksy also discussed European support for Ukraine and the shaky Black Sea ceasefire brokered by the US on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Zelensky said that Putin is trying to \u2018hit the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/topic\/european-union\/\">European Union<\/a>\u00a0from within\u2019, referencing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/sport\/football\/team\/1196723\/hungary\/\">Hungary<\/a>, whose leader Victor Orban has cozied up to Russia.<\/p>\n<p>This dig at a European power comes as Starmer and Macron prepare to host another summit of the \u2018coalition of the willing\u2019 today in Paris.<\/p>\n<p>All eyes are currently on the success of a tenuous ceasefires agreed between Russia and Ukraine this month.<\/p>\n<p>Both sides agreed to a 30-day pause on attacks on energy infrastructure last week.<\/p>\n<p>However both countries have now accused the other of breaking the terms of the Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Russian Defense Ministry claimed that Ukrainian drone attacks hit an electric facility in the Bryansk region early Wednesday and a power grid facility in the Kursk region the day before.<\/p>\n<p>Zelensky\u2019s communications adviser Dmytro Lytvyn said there had been \u2018eight confirmed hits on energy facilities\u2019 from Russia.<\/p>\n<p>Despite this Ukraine and Russia agreed to an naval ceasefire to the Black Sea this week.<\/p>\n<p>Zelensky said of these fragile negotiations: \u2018A ceasefire in the Black Sea is first of all important today and for the Russians. <\/p>\n<p>\u2018They have not controlled the corridor in the Black Sea for a long time.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>On the energy side of the deal, he added: \u2018I don\u2019t want to lie. <\/p>\n<p>\u2018There were no Russian attacks on energy infrastructure tonight.
