Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky<\/a> has finally broken his silence after US President Donald Trump<\/a> and Russian President Vladimir Putin<\/a> agreed to an immediate 30-day ceasefire on energy infrastructure.<\/p>\n

Trump said a \u2018very good and productive\u2019 call on Tuesday toward ending the Ukraine<\/a> war ended with him and Putin agreeing to a temporary halt on attacks. <\/p>\n

Zelensky said his country and Russia \u2018can reach the agreement\u2019 not to strike infrastructure \u2013 with the US supporting continuing negotiations.<\/p>\n

\u2018It cannot be so that Russia will be striking our energy sector, and we will be silent. We will respond,\u2019 stated Zelensky.<\/p>\n

that we will be working quickly to have a Complete Ceasefire and, ultimately, an END to this very horrible War between Russia and Ukraine,\u2019 <a stop giving foreign military assistance and intelligence to Ukraine in order to stop hostilities.<\/p>\n<p>Putin\u2019s \u2018key condition\u2019 to halt the war was a \u2018complete cessation\u2019 The readout did not indicate that Putin agreed to that. <\/p>\n<p>Ukraine, which said it would support an unconditional 30-day ceasefire, did not immediately respond to the development. Trump had aimed to reach the 30-day deal. <\/p>\n<p>Putin told Trump that a prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine involving 175 people will start tomorrow, the Kremlin said.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018In addition, as a gesture of goodwill, 23 seriously wounded Ukrainian servicemen who are being treated in Russian medical institutions will be transferred,\u2019 it said in a readout. <\/p>\n<div
