chiefs from his \u2018coalition of the willing\u2019 will meet in the UK next week as plans for a peacekeeping force in Ukraine move into an \u2018operational phase\u2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The prime minister earlier warned\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/vladimir-putin\/\"><strong>Vladimir Putin<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0\u2018the world is watching\u2019 and told global leaders the Russian leader\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/03\/12\/why-putin-faces-moment-of-truth-over-ukraines-ceasefire-proposal-22712203\/\"><strong>will have to come\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>to the negotiating table <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/03\/13\/putin-ditched-7-000-italian-suits-military-gear-rare-war-leader-act-22718713\/\">\u2018sooner or later\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He told a press conference in Downing Street: \u2018We agreed to accelerate our practical work to support a potential deal.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018So, we will now move into an operational phase.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Our militaries will meet on Thursday this week here in the United Kingdom to put strong and robust plans in place to swing in behind a <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/03\/11\/zelensky-accepts-30-day-ceasefire-deal-ball-now-russias-court-22710015\/\">peace deal and guarantee Ukraine\u2019s future security<\/a>.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>His comments came after a virtual meeting with 29 other world leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, at which Sir Keir said \u2018new
